Fighting injustice by standing together
York Together is a group of like-minded individuals from across York who are all passionate about community empowerment and creating change.
Our mission is simple - to improve the lives of those who are experiencing social injustice in any form.
On the 2nd April, we are running an event at the Bluebird Bakery in Acomb called STEW.
This event is now SOLD OUT!
Attendees will enjoy delicious stew and a drink whilst hearing from people making a difference in their community.

Tackling injustice
It’s been proven time and time again that the only way to tackle injustice, is to stand against it together.
Most people currently working to do good across the city are doing so away from one another and in separate streams. Our aim is to connect them in a meaningful way so that relationships can flourish and ideas can combine.
This means we need to work as a collective to bring any vision of a fairer society to life. We’re hoping to create a new environment where people have the capacity and confidence to both ‘think’ and ‘do’ differently.
What we’re up against...
Unfortunately, the world today is made up of systems and processes that actively maintain the unfairness we see all around us.
This might be economic inequality, any form of discrimination or lack of access to resources and opportunities. We know it’s not going to be an easy fix, and that improvements won’t happen overnight, but we’re dedicated to changing thinking and challenging injustice wherever we can.
